Jennifer King

Meet Jennifer King. Jennifer is the mother of 3 children, Brant, Sydney and Gracie and a proud Geemie to her granddaughter Brixtynn. Jennifer was born is Hobbs, New Mexico and spent the bigger portion of her childhood growing up in Bloomfield, New Mexico, a small town nestled in the Four Corners of New Mexico. Jennifer’s family moved to Dalhart, Texas the summer before her junior year of High School in 1989 where she completed her education and graduated from Dalhart High School in 1991. Although she has spent the majority of her life living in the Texas Panhandle she will tell you she is a New Mexico girl at heart whose lungs are filled with the air of the Land of Enchantment.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with all of her children and her granddaughter. She also enjoys refurbishing old furniture, working in her yard, decorating and doing creative things in her home, antique shopping, traveling and of course spending as much time in the mountains as her busy life allows. Jennifer’s favorite time of the year is Winter and there’s nothing better to her than mountains of snow, cold weather and a cozy fire.

Prior to becoming an insurance agent Jennifer owned and operated Henry’s Flowers in Dalhart, Texas from December 2005 until she sold the business in April of 2018. She began working in insurance on a part time basis in 2016 and made it a full time occupation after selling her business. In October of 2018 she decided to join her mentor and insurance role model Jaime Johnson full time in her newly acquired agency in Stratford, Texas. Jennifer obtained her insurance license on February 14, 2019.

Jennifer primarily works as a commercial agent focusing on the trucking industry but also does personal lines including home and auto. She splits her time between the Amarillo office and the Stratford office each week but is available at any time in any of the 3 locations.

When asked what she enjoys most about insurance she said “I enjoy every aspect of insurance but really enjoy the daily challenges it presents. Many of our commercial customers rely on us to guide them through the many complexities of properly and sufficiently insuring and covering their businesses in order to minimize any potential losses, as well as protecting their financial future and business ventures. I also enjoy the friendships and business relationships I have created with my customers.”
